New Norfolk junior football – Round 10

ROUND 10 – June 23 & 25

THIS round didn’t get off to a very good start with rain and ground closures causing the Friday evening fixtures to be washouts. By Sunday the grounds had dried enough to allow play for that day’s games. Across the New Norfolk Junior Football Club there were some good games and results but more importantly some good feedback again about how our teams and players are representing the club.

It was also great to see some teams embrace the community spirit of local football with a team dedicating their victory song to their absent coach who had an unexpected medical issue, while some teams donned green armbands to show their support to people with muscular dystrophy.

Milestone game players

THE washed-out games on Friday night robbed a couple of players of their milestone games and will now be celebrated this Sunday. They say good things come to those who wait. Congratulations to Casey Quillerat from the Under-18 Girls who has reached her 50th NNJFC club game.
