NNDFC game day notes – Round 9, June 3

NEW NORFOLK DISTRICT FOOTBALL CLUB
CLUB NOTES – JUNE 3

FOOTBALL returns to Boyer Oval today (Saturday) with four games on the agenda. The Lady Eagles will kick the dew off the ground with the first game against Hutchins starting at 8.50 am. The Eagles are performing quite well in the stronger Division 2 competition, having won two games for the season so far. They have been competitive in another couple of games and are still in contention to play finals. The game against Hutchins won’t be easy, but the Eagles have a chance to put another win on the board if they can string together four quarters of football.

The young Colts will follow against Dodges Ferry at 10.30 am. The Colts are finding it tough this season against older and stronger bodies. This game will be no easier, but the young lads are trying hard and will give it their best shot.

The Reserves, who have so far won one game for the season. will be in for another tough day as they encounter Dodges Ferry who sit on top of the Reserves ladder. This match starts at 12.30pm.

The very young Senior team will also face a mammoth task against the Dodges Ferry Sharks who are well in contention to play finals. With a number of significant injuries to key experienced players, the young Eagle team will be hard pressed to make a contest of the game, but we hope they can perform to their best and provide a contest at 2pm.

  • GAME TIMES
  • Seniors v Dodges Ferry at 2.30pm
  • Reserves v Dodges Ferry at 12.30pm
  • Colts v Dodges Ferry at 10.30am
  • Women v Hutchins at 8.50am.
