Weekend warning to sheep graziers

Warning to Sheep Graziers for the Upper Derwent Valley, King Island, Furneaux Islands, Central North, North East and South East forecast districts

Issued at 11:02am on Saturday 8 July 2023.

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and strong westerly winds are expected during Saturday and Sunday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the King Island, Furneaux Islands, Central North, North East, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

The Warning to Sheep Graziers for the North West Coast and Midlands forecast districts has been cancelled.

The next warning will be issued by 5pm Saturday.
