Police seek witnesses to Ouse crash

POLICE are seeking witnesses to a crash involving an ATV (all-terrain vehicle) in the Ouse area earlier today (Sunday). They say a man suffered serious injuries and was flown to the Royal Hobart Hospital in the Westpac rescue helicopter.

“About 12.47pm on Sunday, August 6, emergency services were notified of an ATV crash in the Ouse area,” Bushy Park Police said. “A man aged in his 30s was riding an ATV on a trail near Ouse, when he hit a tree stump and [was] been thrown from the ATV,” they said.

He was found by friends who then called for an ambulance. “Anyone who observed the ATV in this area near the time of the crash is asked to come forward with any information. Information can be provided to police on 131 444 or Crime Stoppers at crimestopperstas.com.au or on 1800 333 000. Information can be provided anonymously.”
