9.30PM UPDATE: Tasmania Police report that the rider of a motorbike that crashed at New Norfolk this afternoon has sadly died. The man, aged in his 40s, died following the crash on Back River Rd. Police are investigating the cause of the crash. Condolences to family and friends of the rider.
EARLIER: Police advise that a motorcyclist suffered serious injuries in a single vehicle accident on Back River Rd this afternoon (Tuesday). “Emergency services were called to the scene shortly after 4pm with the rider receiving medical treatment for serious injuries,” a Tasmania Police spokesperson said.
