TWO people have been charged following an incident at Henry Crescent on the Fairview side of New Norfolk earlier today (October 3). In a statement this evening, Tasmania Police said a 36-year-old woman and a 20-year-old man, both from New Norfolk, had been arrested and charged with wounding.
“At 12:30pm, police responded to a report of a disturbance at Henry Crescent, New Norfolk, where a 47 year old New Norfolk man was assaulted with a weapon and had received an injury to his head,” the police spokesperson said.
Police later located the woman and man at their home address, where they were arrested and later charged with wounding. A weapon said to have been used in the alleged assault was located and seized by police. The victim was treated for non-life threatening injuries.
