THE Derwent Valley Community House will host a free wood-fired pizza day at its community garden this Sunday, October 8. A spokesperson said the event would be held at the Derwent Valley Community Garden, on the river-flat at The Avenue at Willow Court, New Norfolk, from 11am until 2.30pm.
“This day is being made possible through funding from the Mental Health Council and will be held during Mental Health Week,” the spokesperson said. “Prefects from New Norfolk High School have organised the day in conjunction with the Derwent Valley Council. There will be live entertainment from The Ravens and everyone is welcome.”
The Community House will also hold a plant and seedling sale on the day, including tomato seedlings which will be available to purchase just in time for planting. Look for the flyers around town or visit the Derwent Valley Community Garden Facebook page for more information about this event.
