THERE are two errors in the festive calendar of events published in the last two print editions of New Norfolk and Derwent Valley News, for which we apologise.
Gretna Fire Brigade Santa Lolly Run: This will be held on Christmas Eve, not December 17 (that was last year’s date). On Christmas Eve, December 24, the Gretna Fire Brigade will have a huge day helping Santa visit everywhere from Plenty through to Ouse. They will visit Karanja/Glenora/Bushy Park/Plenty between 10.30am and 11.45am; Macquarie Plains/Rosegarland/Black Hills Rd between noon and 12.45pm; Gretna and surrounds (1-2pm); Marked Tree Rd/Bloomfield/Norton Mandeville/Glenelg/Nareen (2.15pm); Hamilton area (3.15pm) and Ouse area (4-4.30pm). All times are approximate. Listen out for the sirens and wait for the vehicles to stop before approaching.
St Matthew’s Church Christmas Day Service: This will be held at 9am on Christmas Day, December 25, not 10am. All are welcome at this Anglican Holy Communion at St Matthew’s Church, Bathurst St, New Norfolk, 9am.
Our full, updated and corrected festive calendar will be published online during the week. Additions to the calendar can be emailed to email@example.com.
