Christmas rally wraps up horseriders’ year

WELL that’s a wrap for our Derwent Valley Horse Riders Association rallies this year. We had a lovely day for our Christmas Rally, perfect weather for riding. It was a little cool to start with but the sun made an appearance by lunch time.

Jane Bushby on Dallas.

It was a small rally with nine riders and the lessons were finished by 1pm. Thanks to those who helped with the setup and pack-up, it makes the day run much smoother. Narelle stepped in as our second instructor to fill Celia’s boots for the day, bringing her Working Equitation knowledge and mindfulness techniques. We welcomed Renee and Millie to their first rally at DVHRA with their pretty palomino Barbie ponies.

Thank you to our regular super coaches Jill and Celia for keeping us all on track throughout the year, be it rain hail or shine. We’ve had many hours of lessons this year including flat, poles, show jumping and working equitation at our fantastic base in Kensington Park.

We are lucky to have such a diverse membership base who come together every month to support each other in our equestrian endeavours and have a heap of fun at the same time. Find out more on our Facebook page or website.
