Fire brigades making joyful noise around the valley

IF you’re wondering what all the sirens are about, as some have already asked on social media, it’s the joyful noise of the New Norfolk and Lachlan fire brigades taking Santa Claus around the local area to drop off lollies to children.

Gretna Fire Brigade did its rounds of the Upper Derwent Valley last night and the Maydena Fire Brigade will be covering the area between Maydena and National Park from about 5pm this evening (Christmas Eve).

The New Norfolk Fire Brigade is regularly updating its whereabouts on the Santa Visits New Norfolk Facebook page. There are also updates on the Lachlan Fire Brigade Facebook.
