Central Highlands Council Australia Day Awards

COMMUNITY achievers in the Central Highlands municipality were celebrated at an Australia Day awards ceremony and lunch at the Bothwell Football Club this morning (Friday). Guests enjoyed a lunch cooked by the football club along with salads and home-made lamingtons from Sealy’s Store.

Deputy Mayor Jim Allwright announced the following awards:

  • Appreciation Award: Katelyn Nichols
  • Citizen of the Year: Tina Horne
  • Young Citizen of the Year: Brodie Speed
  • Community Event of the Year: Gretna Green Hotel Community Makers’ Markets
