Pub putting on a bike show for charity

A BIKE show will be held at the Star and Garter Hotel at New Norfolk on the Eight Hour Day public holiday tomorrow (March 11) in aid of the charity Speak Up Stay Chatty. An entry fee of $5 per bike applies, with trophies awarded for the best sport bike, race bike, cruiser, paint job, American and more. Three-wheelers are also welcome to enter.

The event is open to the public to view, with entry by gold coin donation. A barbecue will be available and raffles will be held. The hotel’s bar and bistro will be open for lunch, offering its $15 menu. Organiser Kirsten Evans-Dare said all proceeds would go to Speak Up Stay Chatty for its mental health and suicide prevention programs. The hotel is at 87 High St, New Norfolk.
