Youth charged over crime spree

NEW Norfolk Police have charged a 17-year-old in relation to an crime spree involving 30 alleged offences. The youth was arrested yesterday (Tuesday) in relation to offences committed in New Norfolk, Bridgewater, Moonah and New Town in the last week.

The youth was charged with three counts of aggravated burglary, one count of attempted aggravated burglary, four counts of stealing, one count of attempted stealing, eight counts of computer-related fraud, two counts of trespassing, one count of destroying property and two counts of burglary.

The youth was also charged with eight counts of breaching bail and was detained to appear in the Hobart Youth Justice Court today (Wednesday).
