Monday: warning of icy roads

Road Weather Alert for Tasmania
for Central North, Central Plateau, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts

Issued at 4:57 pm EST on Sunday 7 July 2024.

Icy roads will make driving conditions dangerous during Monday in parts of the Central North, Central Plateau, Midlands, East Coast, Upper Derwent Valley and South East forecast districts.

Local road warnings issued by Tasmania Police at 1.37pm today (Sunday):

  • Lake St Clair Rd – Icy patches throughout.
  • Lake Dobson Rd – Heavy Ice Extreme Caution for slippery conditions.
  • Lyell Hwy – Hamilton Hill to Derwent Bridge – Patchy ice.
  • Lyell Hwy – Collingwood River to Derwent Bridge – Light frost, however ice detected from Taffeys Bridge to Mt Arrowsmith.
  • Marlborough Rd – Icy Patches throughout.
