12.30PM UPDATE: Gordon River Rd is now fully reopened after this morning’s fire.
EARLIER: POLICE and the Tasmania Fire Service are at the scene of a house fire at 512 Gordon River Rd in Bushy Park.
The owner was home at the time of the fire, which was reported at 4.45am, and evacuated safely. The house was well involved in fire when responders arrived, with fire breaking through the roof.
Fire crews from Bushy Park, New Norfolk and Gretna attended. Police said no one was injured as a result of the fire.
Gordon River Road is partly closed between the Glenora Rd turnoff and the Bushy Park Roadhouse. Travel times will be affected and motorists travelling in the area this morning are urged to slow down and use caution.
