WEEK 14 RESULTS: February 28-March 1
This was the last weekend of the SCA roster before finals begin this coming weekend.

NEW NORFOLK – 1st Grade 50-over format: New Norfolk 4/120 (22.5 overs) defeated Gurkha Legends 10/119 (36.1 overs) at Tynwald Park on Saturday morning. Bowling first, captain Josh Rowlands put on a bowling clinic with the visiting batters having no idea how to play him. Rowlands sent down 9.1 overs, conceded just 17 runs and took a massive six wickets. The Legends were all out for 119. In the run chase, New Norfolk I had the win in the bag in the 23rd over, with Nathan Rice not wanting to waste too much of his Saturday, smashing 44 runs from 13 balls. The win places the Redcaps in fourth place heading into the finals, which will see them play Claremont this Saturday in an elimination final at Tynwald Park at 10.30am. Batting: N. Rice 44 from 13, J. Maddox 36 from 37. Bowling: J. Rowlands 6 for 17 from 9.1, T. Briscoe 1 for 20 from 7.

Josh Walsh was the only Redcap bowler to take more than one wicket, finishing with two. The Redcap batters fell short in the run chase, with Chris Muggleton top-scoring with 88 for the Redcaps. Shaun Fenton also raised the bat at 50. The loss leaves the Redcaps sitting fifth on the ladder, which means they finished just short of playing in the finals. Batting: C. Muggleton 88 from 118, S. Fenton 54 from 76. Bowling: J. Walsh 2 for 36 from 5, S. Rice 1 for 33 from 10.
