MOLESWORTH I had a big win in today’s Southern Cricket Association elimination final at Boyer Oval, defeating St Virgil’s. Molesworth’s batsmen hit up the score of 7/372 in their allotted 50 overs and the visitors were unable to reach the target, being all out for 141 in 30.2 overs. Corey Whitbread top-scored with 150 from 120 deliveries before being bowled. His haul included 25 fours and a six. Brad Coppleman retired hurt after scoring 10 runs from seven balls, including a six that nearly took out the News representative on the boundary. Molesworth will now meet St Anne’s in next weekend’s preliminary final.
