POLICE advise that Highland Lakes Rd at Breona is closed until further notice due to a number of crashes occurring this morning due to ice on the road. There is a detour in place via Haulage Rd.
“Icy roads will make road conditions dangerous in the Central Highlands over the next 24 hours and police urge motorists to plan their trip accordingly by keeping up to date with Tas Alert (https://alert.tas.gov.au/?view=both) and the Community Alert page (https://www.police.tas.gov.au/community-alerts/),” a Tasmania Police spokesperson said.
