Spring forward to the charity book sale today

TODAY (Sunday, October 4) is the start of daylight saving and the third and final day of the fifth annual New Norfolk Book Fair.

This year’s event has been organised by the Derwent Valley Rotary Club in partnership with the Lions Club of New Norfolk and today provides a great opportunity for booklovers whether or not they have already visited – because a new batch of books will be put out.

Rotary Club past president Janine Clifford said the partnership made sense given that the event was being held in the Lions Club headquarters for the second time. The book sale will be open at the Lions Club and Masonic Rooms in Humphrey St, New Norfolk, from 10am-4pm today. The two clubs will share the proceeds for their charitable activities.

Enter the venue via the Humphrey St entry (look for the driveway a short distance from the George St intersection).

  1. Congratulations to both Rotary and Lions on this great joint venture. Very impressive set out in both club rooms, so easy to find books of interest and warmest of welcome by all. Thanks to two excellent organisations! (Maybe have it twice a year – please?)
